CRM

Every customer, vendor and partner in one place

CRM is a field you add to your company. It holds everything that ties to the people and companies you work with — who they are to you, what you have quoted them, what you have agreed, what they have asked for, and what is still open.

Connections

A connection is a link between two parties that both sides agree to — a company and a customer, a company and a supplier, or two companies. Either side can end it at any time. What each side is to the other is a matter of viewpoint, so each side chooses for itself:

Customer Connection

Someone you do work for.

To the other side, you are a vendor.

Vendor Connection

A place you buy from.

To the other side, you are a customer.

Mutual Connection

A place where it goes both ways — you can do work for each other, or one buys and does work.

Mutual on both sides.

Changing what someone is to you never asks the other side and never changes what they see you as. Connections used to be called contracts; the name changed so they are not confused with a service agreement or a legal contract.

What is in the CRM field

Like every field, CRM is made of subfields. Add the ones you need — each is one flat price, and every function under it is unlocked. The list below comes straight from the live catalog, so it is always current.

How it ties into the rest of the platform

CRM is not a separate silo. What you do here shows up where the work happens:

A request becomes a work order

A customer asks for service from their own account, or your office logs a call. Setting it up creates an open, unassigned work order for dispatch — nobody is sent anywhere until a person assigns it.

A quote becomes work

Quotes sent to a customer show them prices only. When they approve with a typed name, it can become a work order or a project.

An agreement becomes visits and invoices

A service agreement proposes its recurring visits for a dispatcher to release and bills each period once.

A win becomes commission

Closing a deal earns the salesperson's commission at the rate in force; managers approve it and owners or admins mark it paid.

What customers see

Customers get their own view from their own account: the requests they have made, the work orders in progress, the quotes sent to them and their invoices. They see what they are charged — never what it costs you, who supplied it, or your margin.
